Join us at Jasper House, from the same team who brought you Harbisons Dairy, for a tour and discussion on a more equitable model for development in Philadelphia and beyond.
Jasper House is a collection of design-forward apartments and artist studios in Fishtown, united around a community garden and BIPOC food business incubator.
We’ll start with a meet-and-greet cocktail hour, featuring a new wine release from branding partner Cohere. Enjoy the evening around beautifully curated furnishing, curated by Rohe Creative—the design team behind some of the city’s iconic interiors.
Take a 15 minute hard hat tour to learn more about the building's 135 year history, social impact goals, and design-first approach. See how SGRA Architects has creatively used the existing warehouse as a base for the building, and get a peek at Rohe's interior design approach through renderings, mood boards, and materials that will shape Jasper House.
From there, get to know the BIPOC entrepreneurs who are setting up their businesses in Jasper House's industrial commons:
- Win Win Coffee Bar will share a taste of their locally roasted coffee in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
- Christa Barfield of FarmerJawn will have a tasting of tea with herbs grown on her farm, where you can learn about regenerative organic farming.
To close out the evening, settle in for an open conversation with everyone involved to discuss how architecture, design, food, and equity come together as a model for more inclusive development.
